We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and charming house. Casa Capperina has a lovely and cozy interior and is located in a very quiet area with a magnificent view of the sea. Communication was always quick and helpful. We had a wonderful time in Salina and would highly recommend staying in this accommodation!

La casa Capperina ci ha regalato dei tramonti splendidi sull’affascinante Pollara. L’interno è arredato benissimo e si trova in una zona molto tranquilla dell’isola, proprio quello che cercavamo! Bellissima la passeggiata per arrivare alla celebre spiaggia di Pollara, un ristorante squisito nelle vicinanze, degustazioni buonissime presso le aziende agricole delle zone.

A wild haven

We stayed in this lovely house in the first week of September and it was still super warm! Don’t be fooled by temperatures being in the mid 20’s, it feels much hotter the minute you get in the sun! The house was so lovely, perched up so you can appreciate the sea in front and the towering landscape behind. All the facilities were very good, and we thought the kitchen was adorable - although a kettle would be a small improvement! Pollara is tiny but just on the road is Locanda di Postitano where non staying guests can have dinner, breakfast and even apperativo on the lawned terrace. There’s also an impressively stocked food truck in the town square on the way down to the beach. You can easily reach Pollara beach by foot from the house, and in fact it’s easier to appreciate the details of the landscape this way. We hired a car as we were aware Pollara was less well served by the bus company, being the most isolated part and it meant we could explore the whole island. We had a wonderful stay, and so appreciated the fresh and delicious food, friendly people and distinctive wildness of the island.

Carino ma un po' trascurato

La casa è carina, ma trascurata. Molte lampade non funzionavano, ma soprattutto la cucina era molto sporca: c'erano le formiche sul piano di lavoro e addirittura un capello nel frigorifero. Per questo prezzo mi aspettavo qualcosa di un altro livello.

We love the town of Pollara so this house was absolutely perfect for us. Beautifully decorated, incredible terrace. Hope to stay again soon. Thank you for having us.

Traumhaft

Schöner kann eine Urlaubsunterkunft nicht sein. Ein eigenes Fahrzeug ist zu empfehlen, da die Busse nicht immer zuverlässig sind.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem schön eingerichteten grossen Haus. Sehr ruhige Umgebung, liebevoller Empfang beim check in. Tolle Küche, wunderschöne Terrasse, vom Bett direkt Meersicht!! Wir können es nur empfehlen würden sofort wieder kommen! ganz herzlichen Dank !

Just book it don’t hesitate, this Airbnb is stunning and the surrounding area is so beautiful one of our best ever stays. If you love nature, breathtaking scenery, peaceful nature this is for you. The place is amazing, we loved the decor and all the details and the views are amazing. Tips: try and get a few food bits to tie you over when you arrive in Santa Marina as Pollara has no food shops, this keeps it special and the area peaceful and unspoilt. Easy to catch local buses back to Malfa if needed for supplies, the host is very communicative and helpful. Some lovely spots to eat out and drink an aperitif ❤️

Casa Capperina made us feel right at home, it's comfy, private, furnished with simplicity and taste, and with beautiful peaceful surroundings. We miss it already. Alessandra gave us prompt and precise infos and directions, and Terzita welcomed us in the house with care and kindness. 100% a positive experience.

The house was very nice and very well equipped (as described). It is located in Pollara at the "end of the island“ and is very quiet as there is no through traffic. The bus connection is okay, I rented a scooter from Alessandra in Malfa.

Nous avons passé 4 jours merveilleux chez Alessandra . La maison est fidèle aux promesses , superbe , très bien décorée , très propre et très calme . Endroit ressourçant et apaisant . Nous reviendrons sans hésitations si nous refaisons les îles eoliennes , pour un vrai moment de déconnection . Merci Alessandra ☺️

our stay was wonderful, the house was very nice

Absolutely stunning and peaceful place, felt right at home the moment we walked in. We loved the sight of flowing curtains in the terrace and the homy touches around the house. The couches and bed are very comfortable, and the kitchen has all necessary amenities. Everything was clean and Internet was fast and reliable. Alessandra was very sweet, helpful and responsive. Pollara itself is magnificent but in a pretty remote part of the island so for anyone who wishes to move around a car or a scooter is recommended, or you can also take a bus. The bus takes you to the nearest supermarket in Malfa, about 15 min away. We stocked up on food for a few days and cooked our own meals, but you can also go to Locanda del Postino for food or to Al Cappero for a delicious aperitivo which are around the corner and where you can enjoy the most spectacular sunsets. Wonderful home perched on the hill in Pollara with a beautiful view. We had a lovely one week stay here with our two children. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed. We loved swimming down in Pollara and getting juices at the beach bar down the hill. We fell in love with Salina and will definitely be back to stay at this magical spot. Thank you!

Bellissima casa Capperina. Vista meravigliosa sul tramonto e decisamente tranquilla. Gli spazi sono perfetti per due persone. La posizione è tranquilla, ma nei dintorni si possono trovare due ottimi ristoranti. Soggiorno super!
