Owner's Response: Dear Madam your message to Local manager was sent at at 19:20 and despite local staff had promptly set up to move you immediately to a different cottage, your decision to leave was already taken and suitcases had been prepared in advance, so this option was not even considered. Were there mouses in the next cottage too? Nevertheless deduced the OTA commission we refunded 4/5 of the price you paid for the second night, which I deem more than a fair treatment if compared to the kind of review you gave us. Finally, I would like to clear once for all that we are discussing about a 3-4 cm mouse, such animal I would prevent my cats from hunting, and that will be relased unharmed if caught, and not a rat. The rodent you saw is a typical inhabitant of our countryside and cannot support a complain about lack of hygene. As I wrote in the exhausting conversation that preceeded this expected revenge review, the droppings belong to a gecko and not to a mouse, as we have already documented, but unfortunately these distinctions passed by unnoticed. The mouse came in eventually as birds, frogs and even snakes might do. All of these species are harmless and do not represent a threat for our guest wich are informed about these facts of nature according to the guidelines submitted when you booked, but sadly seldom considered. Since I understand that a tiny mouse freaks you out I wish to suggest considering more carefully about spending time in the countryside next time. Thank you Casedigello
