Exceptional apartment in the heart of Alicante – quality, comfor

We stayed for 10 nights in the Luxury Apartment at Balmis Plaza Apartments and it was easily one of the best apartments we have ever experienced. The apartment is spacious, bright and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail and high-quality finishes throughout. Although it is on the top floor, it is so well designed that you hardly notice it, and the building has an elevator which makes access very easy. Everything inside is of excellent quality and perfectly maintained. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped — far beyond what you usually find in a holiday rental — with plenty of dishes, cookware and useful appliances. It also includes a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, making it feel like a fully equipped home rather than a short-term rental. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome (water and local beer in the fridge) and the fact that basic essentials like salt, sugar, oil, spices and coffee are already provided. The bedroom is simple but extremely comfortable, with a very good bed, high-quality linens and extra pillows available. Cleanliness throughout the apartment is impeccable. The enclosed terrace with sliding glass panels is a great feature, and the apartment is very well insulated — even though the area is lively, it remains quiet and comfortable inside. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Alicante, in Plaza Dr. Balmis, just a short walk from Explanada de España, the port and Postiguet Beach. Another great detail is that the apartment is very well prepared for beach days, with sun loungers, umbrellas, beach towels and even toys for children. Communication with Xavi was excellent — very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Alicante itself is a vibrant and lively city, and staying here allows you to experience that atmosphere perfectly. Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again.

La casa è molto bella, ben arredata e situata a pochi passi dal mare. La comunicazione con il proprietario è stata perfetta: chiaro, preciso e sempre disponibile. Abbiamo trovato molto comodi anche i locker per lasciare i bagagli sia prima del check-in che dopo il check-out. Se dovessimo tornare ad Alicante, prenderemmo sicuramente in considerazione di soggiornare di nuovo

I would highly reccomend this property and the owner who is 100% comitted to ensuring everything is satisfactory, 5 Minute walk to the Harbour 10 Minute walk to either the Rail Station or the Tram Station, Bus from Airport stops 5 mins from appartment. Storage of luggage is available if needed for those arriving ahead of entry time. Secure entry into building via keycode (shieled from any person behind you observing it) Secure keypad entry into appartment meaning no need to find a place to store a key whilst you travel etc. Neabry watersports or boat ride from harbour plenty of places to eat within the front of harbour or into the town. Facilites to self cater if need be. Air conditioning is SUPERB it works wonders when temperature outside is red hot and can be controlled to your requirement via the controller on the wall. Beds are very comfortable and sockets next to bed for power supply. Dishwasher and Laundry facility in your own appartment with relevant needs supplied as part of stay. Shower produces a large amount of hot water enough for a family of 5.

The apartment itself is cute and very nice located. However, some aspects in the apartment (eg shower head and blinds) were not working properly. When reaching out to the client service, I got a very rude and defensive answer. a guy named Xavi was very rude and unattentive, and he did not bother to make the necessary adjustments/fixings. Friendly, client-oriented service is definitely not part of his repertoire. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Stayed in loft apt 1.1 for two nights, it is a fabulous apartment, beautifully laid out, spotlessly clean and had everything you could want. Bed very comfortable, beautiful huge shower room with separate toilet. Location was also fab and close to everything. There are 2 bars underneath where people stand outside and chat, we were informed of this in advance and brought ear plugs which proved very successful in blocking out any noise.

Great location - very easy to walk to all the restaurants, tram station, shops, Esplanade, the old town and the beach. Yes, it is a lively location with a bar and a restaurant below but the atmosphere was always good and the buzz could be muted by closing the triple glazed patio doors and using the aircon/heater as needed. It's a lovely period building and the apartment is clean, bright, modern and well fitted out. The plaza is well cared for, there's a bust of Dr Balmis, seats and even an historic shelter dating back to the Spanish civil war

We had a fantastic stay at the Balmis Plaza, our host, Xavi, couldnt have been more helpful and kept us informed at all times. The Aparrtment has everything you need and a nice touch was the water and 2 cans of beer left in the fridge along with teabags sugar coffee etc. It is idealy located just 100m from the top of Mushroom street in the city centre.

Prijs/kwaliteit is top. Alles aanwezig en zeer proper. Foto’s kloppen helemaal.

A lovely apartment perfectly situated for both the waterfront and the city. It was very clean, well equipped and the little balcony made all the difference. Loved listening to city life below. Xavi made check in so easy and was always there for any questions.

Spacious apartment off a lovely square central to shops and restaurants. Walk out the door and there are dozens of places to eat at. The sea is a very short stroll away. Perhaps a 15 min walk along the boulevard to the beach. Beach towels were supplied free of charge by Xavi which was a nice bonus. Apartment had all mod cons.

Not quite a last minute booking but very late for us. We did little planning so were not sure what to expect but Balmis Apartments were perfect. Great location, good facilities and safe neighbourhood. You could walk everywhere and the city was easy to navigate. Had some lovely food and really enjoyed the restaurant, Manero, downstairs from our apartment.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Balmis, dieses Mal in einem Loft. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Außer einer Spülmaschine war auch die Ausstattung komplett. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Xavi antwortet prompt. Die Fenster der Lofts gehen zur Plaza, die bis in die Nacht gut besucht und entsprechend laut ist. Aber auch das war korrekt angekündigt, sodass wir darauf eingestellt waren.

A beautiful appartment close to absolutely everything. Many nice restaurants very close and easy to park in the parking house. The appartment felt brand new with very high standards. The restaurant and the bar just below has many visitors and it is noicy until late night so bring earplugs if you get disturbed by noice. Omdat ik alleen verbleef was het meer dan ruim genoeg. Ontzettend genieten van het heerlijke bed, bank en alle luxe. Ik wist dar het gehorig zou zijn en dat klopt. Met een terras eronder heb je tot laat rumoer. Maar ik vond dat wel gezellig. Superschoon en de laatste dag kon ik in de locker mijn trolley nog kwijt. Alles ideaal!

I can't complain about anything. Everything was perfectly ok starting from the reservation and contact. The apartment is very nicely decorated with all what you need. Perfect location next to the Mushroom street.

Close to everything you want in a city

Perfect located "home" for some days in the city. 3rd time we stayed here, but not the last. You'll find all you need here, maybe except beach towels. Nice to actually have space to sit outside! It's tight, but nice with chairs and a table. Downstairs it's a cafe 2 meters to the left and the very nice Bar Manero 2 steps to the right. Hundreds of other bars, cafés and restaurants in walking distance. Same possibilities regarding shopping etc. Supereasy access with online check-in where you get your codes for the doors. Xavi is a responsive host if you have any questions during your stay, nice!

A perfect stay

We stayed as a family of three, with our 18 year old sleaping on the couch/bed in the livingroom. The apartement was supernice and the location excelent.

Fantastic Apartment!

We were only in Alicante for a few days with our son as we struggle to take any more time off than that so it was really important for us that we could make the most of the time we had. Balmis Apartments enabled us to do that. The location was brilliant and check-in easy. The apartment was spotless but had everything we could possibly need with little added touches that were really thoughtful. Yes there was a little noise from the square at night but this added to it for me. The restaurant below was fantastic and we were able to have drinks from there and take them up to the apartment if our little boy was sleeping. We were made to feel so welcome. We would definitely stay again.

Deceiving Pictures

I went on vacation to Alicante with my mother and father. We were quite looking forward to staying at Balmis Plaza Apartment as the pictures on the website made it look beautiful with space and comfort. The pictures were deceiving. The apartment does not have space. It is roughly forty three square metres (google this : small). The apartment is advertised as a three bed. It isn't. The third bed is a very uncomfortable fold out sofa. I had to walk into my parents room at night to use the bathroom. The air conditioner didn't work, but I didn't contact the host as the temperature in the apartment was nice at night and I'm sure the host would have dealt with the issue if I had highlighted it. The apartment was immaculately clean. The location is ideal
