The perfect Portuguese get away.

We loved the location - it felt so private and tucked away in the beautiful countryside. Yet it was also close to Santiago do Cacém for easy access to shops and restaurants. Casa Mimosa was ideal for us, spacious, cool and quiet with all the necessary facilities. We loved our birding trips with Bert, he is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Alentejo area and all the wonderful bird and wildlife there. Bert is great fun, very relaxed and an excellent teacher for we were first timers to birding. Bert and Marianne run the most wonderful peaceful holiday retreat, we have never felt so relaxed! Many thanks to them both, we would love to return!

Leuke stek voor een vogelreis

Leuke accommodatie in een prachtige omgeving. Twee hele leuke excursies gedaan met eigenaar Bert. Een ochtendexcursie naar de Lagune da Santo André en een dagexcursie naar de steppe omgeving Castro Verde. Alle maaltijden werden verzorgd door de eigenaren. Ontbijt en zelf samen te stellen lunchpakket en het diner in een van de restaurants in Santiago do Cacem. Niet heel luxe, maar voor ons prima. Boodschappenlijstje werd door eigenaresse dagelijks in de accommodatie gebracht.
